It’s Official. Chris Bumstead Has Retired From Classic Physique Bodybuilding

It’s been long rumored over the past few years - leading up to a fever pitch this year due to the birth of his first child. Chris Bumstead is officially retiring from competitive Classic Physique bodybuilding.

Each and every year, Chris Bumstead would say that he only focuses on winning one more Olympia title - and knew that he would not stretch his competitive years too far. He had also hinted that he wanted to stop by the age 30.

Well it seems he was true to that promise - by announcing that he will no longer compete after winning his sixth Olympia title.

The 2024 Classic Physique Olympia competition came with some surprises and shocks. Most notably in the form of Mike Summerfield - who knocked the fan favorites such as Ramon Dino and Wesley Vissers down a notch.

The shakeup might have made a few wonder if he would also be a threat to Chris Bumstead’s potential sixth victory. But ultimately, Cbum’s story came to the ultimate close with one more Olympia trophy to go along with the epic announcement that he will officially retire.
